Techhnically, I'm starting this blog thing because I am rather bored and annoyed by my upstairs neighbors so I need something to distract me. So, I'll give you a little breakdown of my life situation currently.
Right now, I am living right outside of Boston. I have been here for a total of 4.5 days out of the 7 weeks I will be here. I am here for an internship at the Cambridge Spaulding Rehab Hospital (a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital - whoot whoot). I'm from Texas, so this whole city/public transport things it pretty foreign. And right now it is raining... so I don't quite feel like going out and about. I'm living with 2 women who have both already finished their graduate degrees and have full-time jobs - making me feel a little out of place. However, they are pretty nice and quite funny. We were able to abruptly introduce ourselves after we had to call the police on our upstairs neighbors 2 nights ago for trying to attack one of them. And now, those super kind neighbors are moving out, and kindly started to do so at about 7am this morning. Which in Texas time is only 6am in the freaking morning. Thanks to the wooden floors and paperthin walls, I have heard every single footstep, broom sweep, and dropped baby toy for the last 8 hours. Thrilling, I know. Any-who, cheers to them moving out!
So for a moment of honesty: I feel super alone here. I'm hoping that getting to write about everything that I experience here will make me feel a little less alone. It's pretty weird not talking to anyone, going out to dinner alone, and walking everywhere alone. It's definitely not me (because I am insanely talkative). But who knows, maybe this will bring out something new in me!
Here goes...
Girl, you are never alone. Ever.
